1. Rationale

Research on Humanities and Social Sciences including linguistics and literature philosophy & religion, sociology, anthropology, social development ,media information & communication, public administration, culture ,area studies, and other topics related is the foundation to explain social dynamics and their effects. The knowledge leads to appropriate solution according to the truth of situations. As a result, the knowledge gained from research on humanities and social sciences is crucial and valuable as a precious tool in guiding social direction. Sciences and knowledge in humanities and social sciences, nevertheless, need inspection and adaptation consistently to get along and catch up with dynamic social situations which also consistently change. Scholars in humanities and social sciences are to continuously study and research using empirical data in various real situations. Some subjects may be in accordant with theories, while others are phenomenon beyond the textbook or previously collected theories.
   In addition, in such era that science and technology play roles in determining living behavior and patterns of relationship of people in the society, and determination of product standard and quality in both academic and industrial aspects. This leads to argument about how appropriate the standards in humanities and social sciences are and how well they response to the fact of life.
   Upon such issues, scholars and officers on humanities and social sciences are to inspect, revise, and develop the knowledge and discuss to share opinions between interested and experienced persons in the issues. The humanities and social sciences conference is the open stage for scholars and officers to share experiences, knowledge, and problem related to the subject. This should result in development of knowledge and cooperation to build academic strength. Additionally, this is academic reinforcement to answer to critical questions and is the mechanic in holistic development of potentiality and advancement in humanities and social sciences.
   The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University realizes the significance in inspection and development of the knowledge. The International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences so has been organized annually since 2002. This conference is the 11th arranged for 26th -27th November, 2015. It is expected to attract reinforcement of ideas from scholars in humanities and social sciences for challenge, equity and responsibility.

2. Objectives

   1. to distribute knowledge gained from researches in humanities and social sciences
   2. to enhance cooperative learning between researchers, scholars, lecturers, and students and to contribute to networking in the field of humanities and social sciences
   3. to develop quality and standard of research and thesis in humanities and social sciences

3. Expected outcome

   1. Researchers, scholars, and lecturers get acquainted and share knowledge and experiences in the humanities and social sciences field.
   2. Researchers, scholars, lecturers, and students developed their researches and thesis for better quality.
   3. New found information and knowledge in humanities and social sciences are publicized.
